Letterbox flower retailer, Fleur De Luxe, teamed up with Add People’s Amazon Advertising Experts in November 2022.

They were looking to grow their sales through their Amazon store, particularly as it was approaching a time of year with crucial sales events, like Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

And they were not disappointed with the results…

The challenge

Seasonal events like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are absolutely vital to fresh flower retailers, so, the key challenge here was to maximise sales in these periods.

Our Amazon Experts needed to create a new ad strategy that would get Fleur De Luxe’s products in front of the surge in active shoppers on Amazon.

Our strategy

The team began by creating new ad campaigns that would complement the current keyword-targeting campaigns – which were performing well, but not quite delivering the sales they needed.

Product Targeting campaigns were set up prior to Valentine’s Day, which enabled Fleur De Luxe to showcase their products on key competitors’ product pages – stealing away sales for themselves.

Furthermore, Sponsored Brand and Sponsored Display campaigns were also implemented, which helped to increase awareness and visibility of their brand, by appearing in as many placements as possible across Amazon.

A key part of the Sponsored Display campaigns was remarketing.

During Valentine’s Day, they remarketed Fleur De Luxe’s products to past customers who purchased during the Christmas period.

This tactic was also implemented during the Mother’s Day event, where the team used ads to reach customers who purchased on Valentine’s Day.

It proved to be extremely effective in encouraging repeat purchases and maximising sales!

The results

The results were quite incredible.

During Valentines Day, Fleur De Luxe were ranked as the UK’s best-seller for fresh flowers on the whole of Amazon, with 3 products achieving the top 10 in best-seller rankings – huge exposure for their brand!

They also achieved:

– 319% increase in orders and 143% increase in return on ad spend (ROAS) in February 2023 (compared to Jan 2023)

– 458% increase in orders and 184% increase in ROAS in March 2023 (compared to Jan 2023)

– Impressions increased by 146% from February 2022 – February 2023

– Impressions increased by 104% from March 2022 – March 2023
