Earlier this year, we shared a Success Story featuring The Crafty Black Dog’s amazing results with our eCommerce team.

Since then, their Google Ads campaigns have gone on to reach even bigger heights – enabling Founder, Clare Hearl, to open up her own physical shop for the business (see bottom of page for photos)!

The challenge

As their Google Ads campaigns were already delivering strong results, now it was up to Ecommerce Account Manager, Josef Mangan, to scale these even further.

If anything, the main challenge was that the business was still being run from Clare’s home and it was becoming difficult to handle the number of orders that were coming in.

But with the campaigns performing so well, it was in the plans for The Crafty Black Dog to open up their very own physical shop!

Our strategy

Building on the previous strategy (why change something that isn’t broken?), Josef continued to target the ad campaigns to appear to people in specific locations – locations that have strong military ties – increasing the likelihood that people in these areas would have a huge interest in their products.

They also highlighted The Crafty Black Dog’s military decanter product range as an opportunity to grow sales.

New Performance Max ad campaigns were created to push these products – displaying them through ads that appear to relevant people across Google’s Display Network, which includes websites, YouTube, Gmail, & more.

The results

The results have been taken to a whole new level! The Crafty Black Dog has seen…

– 159.26% increase in orders through ad campaigns (June & July 2023 vs April & May 2023)

– 145.72% increase in revenue through ad campaigns (June & July 2023 vs April & May 2023)

– 296.32% increase in new website visitors (June & July 2023 vs April & May 2023)

– Bounce rate decreased by 70.18%

This incredible growth in sales and revenue has enabled Clare to open a physical shop for The Crafty Black Dog!

She’s also been able to employ new staff to help with the increase in orders.

It is so rewarding to help deliver a life-changing impact like this for small businesses – it’s exactly why we love doing what we do!
