Sapphire is a high-street retailer committed to providing quality fabric for its customers.

After seeing strong organic sales revenue, they decided to expand into a new marketing channel, with Amazon Ads.

As they were trying this for the first time, when performance wasn’t quite meeting their expectations, they needed some help to get their campaigns back on track.

After the initial consultation with the team, it was immediately clear where Sapphire were going wrong with their campaigns.

They were investing all of their budget into automatic ad campaigns with Amazon which were barely breaking even – a big red flag for the team.

So the main challenge here was to set up brand new campaigns and ensure their budget was being utilised in the most profitable areas.

Our strategy

The first step was to take away Sapphire’s over-reliance on automatic Amazon ad campaigns – these can work really well, but setting up manual campaigns would give the team more control over their ad budget. 

Our experts began to set up these new manual campaigns, which were optimised using data from the existing automatic Amazon ads.

Additionally, they also optimised the existing auto campaigns in an effort to get these performing well, maximising their budget and reducing wasted ad spend.

Once the team could see that their changes were starting to have a positive impact on performance, they scaled this up by increasing their overall ad spend.

After only two months, they have seen outstanding results…

Their new Amazon ad campaigns have made a huge impact on Sapphire’s sales…

Since their two-month trial began they have achieved:

– 238% increase in Sales

– Increased Return On Ad Spend from 296% in March to 787% in May

– Ad spend has been scaled by 28%

– Impressions have increased by 388K

– The clickthrough rate has increased to 1% which is more than double the Amazon average
