Range Meal Bars provide meal replacement bars for active hikers, hoping to replenish fuel and motivate themselves to reach the summit.

After struggling to break-even on their previous campaigns, they aimed to improve sales figures and scale up their business by placing their trust in Add People’s eCommerce team.

The challenge

From the initial audit of their Google Shopping campaigns, it was clear to our eCommerce team that their account had not been following best practices and was therefore not set up correctly, in order to maximise results.

Furthermore, they also had many campaigns that were all targeting the same products, with none of them hitting break-even point.

As well as improving their current campaigns, Range Meal Bars also wanted to explore the bodybuilding and fitness sector, so understanding the market would be vital for successful performance.

Open communication between Range Meal Bars and our team, would be key to understanding their objectives and that the process would not be a ‘quick win’, but would take time, with sustainable progression towards their goals.

Our strategy

To begin, our eCommerce experts condensed the number of active campaigns from 9 to 4, by focusing on flavours and using the budget wisely in areas that were bringing the biggest returns, such as a six-pack rather than single bars.

This would help to ensure that their precious budget was been utilised in the most effective way.

A brand awareness campaign was also introduced, to maximise the visibility of their products on Google and also reach people who may not have heard of their products before.

Dynamic Search Ads campaign was then implemented, to get a better understanding of what potential customers were searching for, as Range Meal Bars have always been focused on advertising and selling to hikers.

The results

Since joining Add People in May 2022 and implementing the new strategies:

– Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) has increased by 393+%
– Revenue has increased by 310%
– Website conversion rate has increased by 390%

– Cost per acquisition has been reduced by 77%
– 4.7% overall conversion rate
