As a relatively early-stage business, Exersci were looking to grow sales through their eCommerce website.

They sought help from Add People, and after an initial consultation about the best option for them, they teamed up with our eCommerce experts.

Whilst they desired to increase their ad spend, it was critical for the Google Shopping campaigns to remain profitable going forward.

The challenge

Even though Exersci were slowly getting by, its previous Google Shopping campaigns were not producing the results it needed for any real growth.

Time for our eCommerce team to do some heavy lifting…

After in-depth conversations with Mark Taylor (Co-Founder of Exersci), our eCom experts were able to really understand the business and this would help to inform strategic decisions going forward.

It became clear that the usability of their previous eCommerce site was hindering the number of potential conversions (conversions are actions that a business wishes for users to take on their website e.g. make a purchase).

The team also identified website Bounce Rate as an area for improvement.

A high Bounce Rate indicates that users are not finding the answers they desire from a website and therefore leave immediately.

Our strategy

The first thing the team wanted to address was the eCommerce website itself.

They came to the conclusion that transitioning the company’s eCommerce site from Wix to Shopify would majorly support Exersci’s goals.

Following a successful site move, our experts turned their attention to Exersci’s Google Shopping campaigns.

After analysing product performance over a period of time, the team could identify which products were performing well on Google Shopping (e.g. their best-selling products).

Products were separated into their own individual ad campaigns, which enables you to really control ad budget and make sure it is being utilised in the most effective way.

Performance Max campaigns were also adopted, as these use Google’s Machine Learning to optimise ad performance to achieve Exersci’s desired goals.

The results

Since teaming up with Add People, the impact of the new website and highly-tuned ad campaigns has resulted in major GAINS for Exersci.

5 months on from moving to Shopify and steadily increasing ad spend…

– 110% increase in revenue through Google Shopping ads.

– 118% increase in online orders.

– 38% reduction in Cost Per Acquisition (CPA).

Furthermore, comparing to the previous period, their conversion rate from paid search has increased by 185% and they have also seen a reduction in Bounce Rate.
